Husband and I came for afternoon coffee, I ordered a Black Forest cake, their most popular item, soooo good, nothing like you get in the US at all! We ended up pick another cake to bring back to our hotel to share later.

The setting is beautiful, as are the cakes, however the service here lets down what could be a lovely café. The plum cake was a little tart, but the hot chocolate was very nice. The chocolate milkshake is unfortunately completely bitter to the taste, with no sweetness. After my fiancé and I tried the milkshake, we asked the waitress to... More

Shown around by a true born baden-badener we had coffee and cake at cafe Koenig. Huge variety of home made cakes, fine selection of chocolates, tarts and cakes. Coffee and drinks are rather pricy, service was short on time and a smile wouldn't have hurt. I was fairly disappointed by the advertised special mind and lemon lemonade which ended up... More

We stopped in Baden Baden for a walk and a slice of their most famous Black Forest cake, once downtown we asked for the best pastry shop in town and a local lady gave us directions for Cafè Koening. We totally loved the place and the charming 1800's ambiance of the place. We were overwelmed by the variety of cakes... More

We enjoyed an afternoon coffee / dessert here after a morning at the Roman baths. The desserts are everything that one could want, and being able to sit outside to watch folks passing by is a definite plus.

My favorite for simple and very well prepared lunch. Quick service. Also have a counter for take away pastries, cake, breads and sandwiches. Everything self made.

Great choice of deserts, including famous Foret Noir cake. Everything is fresh and tasty. Tea is served with biscuits and wiped cream on a very nice tray. Terrace is usually busy, and inside somewhat hot - but still okey. Service is slow since there is lots of people. Worth going anyway.

Yesterday I came to this beautiful cafe with my friends. Had cake and macchiatos for breakfast. Loved the decor and the cakes tasted so delicious. I really recommend the place, for breakfast or for tea time.
