Went 2x for lunch and it was on both occasions absolut superb. Food, service and ambience where all outstanding. Can strongly recommend the incredible tasty food from chef Wilfried Serr.

When we arrived it was empty and was not very full all evening. The food was very good German cuisine lamb very good. The local house wine was outstanding. However it was very expensive even compared to London prices for comparable quality.
The restaurant serves high quality regional meals with some interesting twists. However, service was terribly slow (we had to wait for an hour between each course; don't expect your glasses to be refilled by the staff)

If you want Badische Fine dining....Zum Alde Gott is the only place to go to. The service is friendly and the kitchen is willing to listen to your wishes. Great food, great local wines, great view, great friendly service....worth the drive.
