We went here quite late on Saturday after having had a few beers and the food was good and filling. We both had pork schnitzel with salad and my husband had beer. The place was very busy it's clearly very popular, the service was good, the food was good just nothing outstanding

The place was pretty packed last night. Luckily enough we managed to get a spot straight away. Service was a but slow, but their beer made up for it

Found restaurant by accident (one floor up) in pedestrian area and thoroughly enjoyed our local schwabische meal and drinks. First went on Monday and had the special offer with beer and went back on Friday evening when the restaurant was very lively for another type of spatzle. Food was basic but tasty and the service was pretty quick.

Located an easy 5 minute walk along the Konigstrasse pedestrian shopping streed from the Schlossplatz square. Restaurant is on the 2nd floor above a different restaurant. Good variety of German dishes. Menu was printed in German with English subtitles. Waitress spoke English.

Back in the days I was studying in Stuttgart, I've visited the Sophies pretty often: at least once a week. They had everything: good food for understandable prices, fresh beer, especially the Schwarzbier, and lots of different sales on working days, as second beer for free or a free bretzel to each beer. Than went there last autumn, when visited... More

This restaurant is on the first floor of a building and I am not sure whether they have a lift for those who struggle with stairs. We had a reservation as I have visited here before and I know that it gets busy. It was busy on the night we visited and the service was not too bad, we had... More

Nice cold cloudy beer, rustic atmosphere and for these very competitive prices you can't really expect excellent food. The size of the portion was big, it was served in just 7 minutes.... a ton of "Spatzle" on the plate, the Schnitzel was average (actually rather dry), a watery sauce and 5 slices of mushroom. Service was mixed and can also... More

Various home brewn beer is very tasty! Food supposed to be typically regional, but actually is Mainstream like anywhere else: nothing special. Prices rather high even for central Stuttgart. Very loud and crowded and waiters were at their limits. There are better places nearby.

The sizes are very big and the quality is great. When we were being served a Flammkuchen (kind of pizza) one small piece of the corner fell down (not a big deal of course!) and they kept this one and also brought a new whole one (although they did not tell us, if not we would have said that it... The regular beer is better than the dark one, but it is worth to try both. The meals are big enough. the staff is friendly, but the service is not as fast, as you expect, even when there are a few customers. Anyway - it is good.
