I'm fairly sure that every time I stay in Bayreuth I eat here. It's a very well known name and very popular during Festival time. I always want to enjoy traditional German dishes, so I had a traditional Sauerbraten (roast beef in a rich gravy)...More

Very friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere and good regional food. Pfefferlingen were in season and especially tasty.

Beer from the oldest brewery in the world - 1040. Franconian specialities - crispy goose, dumplings of course, red cabbage, lumps of pork; pifferlinge mushrooms in season; local wines. Also open after the opera; terrace seating available. Slightly mean cheese plate. Friendly service.

Staying in Bayreuth for a few days for the Wagner festival, we chose nearby Weihenstephan for dinner. There is a varied menu, nice atmosphere, pleasant service - and our meals were very good. We both chose fish dishes which were nicely cooked, with good accompaniments....More

We were invited to this restaurant for a Birthday Celebration. The room was nice but a little small for all the people. The food came a little while later and was good. The only minus point would be that a couple of quests wanted a...More
