In Bavaria the beer is considered food. And the king of beers is definitely Helles in Bavarian, it's called Pils everywhere else in Germany. Maxbrau Ammergauer had got a great one!

Food was delicious and beautifully presented. Great local beers available. I came here four times in two weeks! More expensive than most restaurants in the area but I thought it was worth it. I definitely recommend coming here for dinner! The Bavarian platter was the...More
A typical Bavarian restaurant with own, small brewery. They offer two or three home brews which are very tasty, but NO WEIZENBIER. Be aware of this. English is spoken, the service is fast, the food is tasty. The waiters can sometimes be not the friendliest...More
Very nice restaurant. The food is very good and the waiters are very kind. Also, the restaurant has a great space for children to play. Perfect for families.

This is a typical Bavarian restaurant, but I have to say an excellent one. As previously reviewed, the beer and food are both excellent. I have the local Wheat beer and the roast pork knuckle, both highly recommended. Not bad prices either...well worth a visit.
Great ambient, servers and food! Must go if you are in Oberammergau! Make reservations though, otherwise the wait could be long to get a table!

Nice location, great beer garden. The Keller beer was the best I had in Bavaria. We came back several nights in a row. The food was also very good. Great service and a play area for kids.
Very nice restaurant with a nice terrace and modern decor. We enjoyed the meal and setting. The food was amazing! I would recommend the Schnitzel or the Pork Knuckle. The house brewed beer was excellent too! I suggest you visit the town on your way...More
