My husband and I were able to be seated without a reservation during the busy Christmas market season. The staff spoke excellent English and provided us English menus without needing to ask. The service was fast and very friendly. The house beer is absolutely amazing, and the price was extremely reasonable. A must visit in Coburg!!!

Went on a hot summer afternoon during the week. Was my last day in Coburg and I wanted authentic German food. They have a menu in English and the waitress spoke enough to recommend a local beer. They also offer smaller portions of the traditional German dishes. I had the sauerbraten with Coburg dumplings and red cabbage. It was delish... More

Beautiful setting in town square. Compare to Felsentrunk in nearby Wuergau. Smokey flavor reminiscent of Islay scotch!

We came for a quick bite over lunch and quench our thirst at 30C. Unfortunately the waiter passed by 3 times without asking for drinks. I was quite pissed and finally went in myself to ask for service. Food then was quite good and even the service became acceptable. Overall it would be probably quite a good place if only... More

Have been there quite a few times in the last years but now after renovation it is a gemstone in Coburg. All guest areas and the toilets are freshly made and look very nice. The food is really good and the prices reasonable. They serve house brand beer "Kreuztrunk", worth while to have more than one. The service was very... More

This restaurant is a fine diner which is artistically decorated. Gives us a peculiar blended feel of both quaint and modern Interiors. The Beer is good and the food is pure pleasure for your taste buds. Had a nice evening with my team mates during a cool Autumn season. this restaurant serves up to late night.

I visited the restaurant on a business trip. Has very good German dishes and beer to choose from. I had Sauerbraten which was spectacularly good!
