Off the tourist trail, this brewing restaurant was heaving on a Thursday night with locals. Excellent home brew beers and whilst the food menu is a bit limited you will not go hungry. As an example we all had pork schnitzel and received 2 each...with fries!!. If I went back to München definitely return but never go back to same city twice ( life is too short )More

This is another great place for Bavarian food. I loved their Viennese style schnitzel which, technically, isn't Bavarian but it was still delicious. It came with perfectly hot and crispy fries too. You definitely have to try this place. Plenty of good beer here as...well.More

Although it was attached to a hotel, it didn't feel touristy and customers were mostly local which is always a good sign! Good portion sizes, lovely meal!

The Schiller Bräu is not only a rustic pub, but also attached to a hotel. The food was delicious, the service was super friendly and we really liked the atmosphere. Not to forget: Excellent beer is also brewed and served here.

Was staying upstairs so decided to give the restaurant a go. Very nice breaded schnitzel with chips. Big serving and a reasonably priced drinkable house wine available. Friendly service with English spoken well.

The food was very good (best wiener schnitzel we had in Munich). However before you go, understand the location is a bit challenging and somewhat away from main tourist area. About 4 blocks from train station, there is significant construction nearby blocking vehicle access from...some directions. Additionally, the neighborhood is a bit on the transitional side. If you are ok with location then the food is worth finding itMore

The salad (“Beilagensalat”) was fine, but the “Tafelspitz” was the worst, I ever have had in Germany and Austria - actually the only bad one, I’ve ever had here. A total mess of different tastes: totally overcooked potatoes, luke-warm meat and sauerkraut, and some mayonnaise-based...salat and a dark sauce to confuse it all …. And an extremely small amount of horse-radish, which could have helped to give the course a bit character. On top of that: when I ordered a glass of the house white Wine it was sold out, unless I ordered a bottle! One should think they could have been able to open one of their bottles and pour me a glass of Wine, 😉More

We chose this place because it was near our Air BnB. We were looking for a traditional German meal and as far as we can tell, that’s what we got. Our server was upbeat and helpful. He made sure we liked all of our food...(which we did) and was personable. Our group got a variety of foods including Bratwurst, Roasted Pork, and Schnitzel. We enjoyed the food and the portion sizes were huge! Would definitely recommend if in the area.More

We chose this restaurant based on reviews to have good steak and local beer. We were a vit surprised when coming in to restaurant that we were eating just in front of hotel reception, so place was rather busy. We had schnitzel for food and...it was huge and really tasty. Local beer was also good and service was nice. After food I went to toilet just to realize that restaurant was much nicer the more far you went from hotel reception. Little disappointment to realize that but overall great food saved the momentMore

Excellent service, and very fast. In-house brewed beer. Very decent portions of orders. Needs reservation, as gets busy in the evenings.

We were glad to have reserved a table as the restaurant was already almost full. Our waiter seemed rushed off his feet but was very friendly. Our duck and knodls were very tasty but our Blaukohl was a bit too sweet. We enjoyed our meal...but were surprised to not only be charged 2.50 Euros for a glass of tap water but also 10% service charge which wasn’t mentioned on the menu at any point. This was the main reason for marking this down.More
