Wonderful fish (they actually have the same menu since ages! which is - in this case - very good). Nice and friendly service, wonderful escargots, good wines and fresh fish - and oysters of course.

Always a treat ... from the minute you enter the venue you are made to feel welcome by the friendly and competent staff. The oysters were spectacular, as were the tuna tartare, the crab cakes, the scallops and the fish main courses. All this and a good bottle of cold Sancerre and we left very happy people. A must when... More

We chose the oyster mixed plate to share, about 10 oysters, some claims, snails and crab meat. I think about 34 euro, so not really cheap! Unfortunately only one mussel and really, the oysters were not that good at all. The real terrible ending was for me, as I was very happy to keep the peace of crab for last.... More

Would you imagine to find in the middlie of Munich a traditional place to eat selcetd oyester? This is a place I like to go, with foreign visitors or even myself after the cinema. Beside the excellent food (not only oysters, but the oysters are a must have) teh seating has its charme.

Without question this is the best dinner in town. Have been here several times - service is A1, food is A1, wine list is exceptional. If you love seafood and shells this is the place for dinner - say hello to Seiglende who delivers the best service for me - enjoy.

We were looking for some seafood place in Munich and based on tripadvisor reviews we booked this place. General feedback - Average and overpriced meal. One time visit. Probably our expectations were too high based on the reviews, but it was a complete culinar disappointement. The service was good, the place decor not exactly our taste, but overall is nice.... The 'Oyster Cellar' (English translation) is a fantastic spot hidden away off a back street of Maximilian street. As you walk in, your coat is taken for you and you are seated on one of the many lovely tables inside. This underground location was full, the atmosphere was great and the service was impeccable. We ordered dishes from across the... More

Don't get me wrong, I love schweinshaxe and beer! But after 4 days of it, we were desperate for some fish and wine! We came across Austerkeller on Tripadvisor, and were not disappointed. The setting is somewhat retro (old fashioned) but elegant. The clientele upmarketand slightly older, rather than chic. We both had fish, and all the dishes were delicious.... More
