We accidentally happened into this restaurant, dressed considerably less well than the surroundings would have called for. We had a beautiful pre fixe lunch paired with two very nice regional wines and polite yet friendly service. You could spend a lot but we didn't and had a fantastic experience.

Charming old building connected to the wonderful Platzl Hotel. No bar, but nice cozy space. The menu seemed very original in an area where every German restaurant seems to have the same menu (sausages, schnitzel, pork knuckle. We had their beef tartare, regional perch entree, and duo of regional duck. Everything was perfect (food, table and service). They have a... More

Get our of the massive Bavarian restaurants and find a cozy and delicate restaurant with a touch class and very good local food. We enjoyed every moment of our dinner there: the building is an old beautiful house in the centre of town, two minutes away from the Opera House, dining rooms are great and the quality of food excellent.

Visited on one Saturday end of January. I odered the "Allgäu" Ox file with potato gratin and vegetables and the steak was just terrific! one of the best I have eaten. place itself has typical bavarian look. a plus is that they can offer gluten free dishes

Pfistermule was supposed to be the highlight of our dinner in our 4 night stay in Munich. And it was, food-wise. It took one terrible person to ruin our evening, though. Manager Daniel Brunz provided DIABOLICAL customer service. The table for 5 was booked 7 days ago but on arrival our table was occupied by others ordering dessert. Which is... More

This is a really good restaurant - costly, but excellent. The cuisine is traditional Bavarian - so you need to be into beautifully cooked meats with fabulous south german vegetables, soups, and puddings. Service, when we sat down was cursory and seemingly offhand. Not a good start (waiters probably thinking "another couple of blooming British tourists"). That's unforgivable - rude... More

Been here for the company's Christmas party already three times and each time the food was excellent. Can't talk about the prices, but the food is really exquisite and the ambiance fits it perfectly.

I have been in Munich for business trip the past 18 years, any time I have a chance I go to this place for a fine meal. While a little pricey, the experience includes the location in remote street of old town, the overall setting of old Inn and decoration, I was rarely disappointed by the dedicated service and usually... Enjoy the historic atmosphere of medieval Munich in one of the most beautiful locations in the historic city centre. In the lovingly restored vaults of the dukes mill dating back to 1573 we are offering upscale Bavarian cuisine and fine Franconian wines alongside famed and freshly brewed Ayinger draft beer from the families brewery.

In the Pfistermuhle there are four vaults with more altogether 95 seats. Thirty additional seats are available in the beer garden in Summer.
