If you like being served by rude waitress who barely respond to you, or if you like a super limited menu that serves very very average and slightly overpriced sausages, this might be the best place to go.

This place has been around since 1619. You have to try it. I've eaten here twice and I think it's a fun place. The food is authentic German, and it's quite tasty. The little sausages are a must buy; flavorful and fun to eat. Although they had outside dining, there was slight rain so we all sat inside.

If you go to Nuremberg, you must go here. Very small menu. Sausages, potato salad, sauerkraut, bread, cheese, one salad and beer. Limited English spoken. Great atmosphere.

If you don´t like sausages - stay away. There is not much more here. Cooking is extremly simple, the wurst and pieces of port are thrown on the open grill. That´s it. The sauerkraut is a bit too mushy for my liking, but tastes fine. Interior is also simple, but cosy.

The famous, authentic Nuremberg sausages are cooked over a wood fire and are definitely very tasty. The restaurant is one of the oldest in the city and has some charm. It was very quiet the night I visited as it was a national holiday Monday. Limited English spoken, but enough to order a meal and a good beer!

We ordered coke, but they didn't ask us how big, just brought us the most expensive one that we couldn't even finished. Waitress lady was very rude when removing our dish, they never smile. Then tip was also included in the receipt, what the hell? I asked them, why tip is included, they only replied you have to pay tip.... More

We went here three times in our five-day stay...we stayed next door at the Hotel am Jakobsmarkt so the location was convenient. But even if we didn't stay next door, we would've made the trip back to this restaurant. It is a piece of history; built in the 1400's and the decor is wonderfully German. The service was great and... More

The decor screams 'tourist trap'. Staff dressed up in traditional Bavarian garb, a 'rustic' dining room with old wood tables and chairs. As far as we could tell, there wasn't a local in the place. It didn't matter. Nuremberger sausages were being cooked over an open wood fire a couple of meters from our table. And the liters of beer... More

My wife, son and I all had the little sausages, which were awesome. We also had the bread/pretzels with mustard, and washed it all down with great beer. It was a cozy authentic restaurant. I don't think anyone spoke much English.
