My friend and I were staying in the heart of Dinkelsbuhl and needed to grab some dinner, so we walked to Hotel Deutsches Haus and were not disappointed with our choice. The dining room was very warm and inviting with it's old, wood beams and it's painted walls and ceiling. The waitress was helpful with wine selections as well as... More

Driving back to Munich on the Romantic Road, Dinkelsbuhl is not to be missed. We decided to stop & eat at the Hotel Deutsches Haus restaurant because it was well-rated. We were so happy we did. First, the hotel interior was something out of an illustrated fairytale (see pics). Second, we were greeted promptly. In short order, we had a... More

We hit the jackpot with this hotel. It has a historical entrance as well as heaps of history. However the rooms are modern and well equipped. Parking in the city centre is only for a short time but the hotel organised a long term valet park outside the city walls. The owner apologised for the bells of the Church opposite... More

We only stayed one night. We had the executive suite. Very large suite, with separate sitting area and extra bed area. Very European. The room was furnished beautifully. The desk staff were very nice and helped with our luggage (no elevator). This is a small hotel, but was one of the nicest that we visited. They even parked our car (fee)... More

Beautifully detailed dining room with several coats of arms on the ceiling and three impressive wooden chandeliers. The food was well prepared with attention to detail. When we visited a five course meal option was available. Nice wine list. Excellent service.

We found the food and service to be generally good. Our problem was in paying our bill. The bill was presented, we paid with two 50 euro notes because we did not have anything smaller. The change came back and it was incorrect. It then took another 20 minutes to fix the issue. First the waitress ignored us. Then the... More

Having been recommended many times from people we finally decide to visit this famous hotel/restaurant and it was worth it. We had the food course menu. The food and service was excellent. And a very relaxing and calm experience.

We had the three-course meal and it was a good choice. The food was excellent, the service could not have been better - and all this in a beautiful old hall with lots of atmosphere. I would recommend making a reservation, especially on weekends, if you want to be sure to get a table.

The building where is the restaurant is very old and beautiful, so you enjoy the surrounding. We have ordered meat, and it was cooked excellently.

Description
Using local seasonal produce is central to the creation of this modern German and international cuisine. Nowadays it is imperative to know what you eat and drink, hence we put the greatest emphasis on the quality of our food, thus most of our meat is purchased from local farmers. Being cooked and delivered in an imaginative yet no-nonsense manner it has made dining at The "Deutsches Haus" an experience in its own right.
Our ,,Ancient German" restaurant seats 90 guests in three locations. During the summer meals are also served on our spacious terrace opening onto the "wine-market".
