Just perfect domestic Bavarian food! Great vild and beef meny, Algau chesse and meat... Local beer and schnaps... Not one bad meal! Do not miss soup with meat "knodles", or garlic soup, they can heal everything! Service is an the other hand distance, slow, grumpy, bit arogant... Do not miss restaurant, try to ignore waitress! Price is mid to hi....

Visited here after a morning at Schloss Neuschwannstein for late lunch. Four of us for lunch. Two friends from Germany. Quite disappointed with the steak with onion and sauce. Surely for $30 Aus. You can at least serve a sirloin and not use industrial gravy. Very lazy chef. If people rate this little restaurant at four stars then there must... More

We ate here an amazing deer goulash, it was really the best we had ever eaten. The meat was really tender and the sauce very tasty. The portion was very opulent and the service really friendly. We will come back!

We visit Weissensee nearly every year as part of our drive through Germany and Italy. We have tried other restaurants but this was our first time to this one. We are glad that we called. We had an excellent lunch with just a main and desert plus drinks. My wife had the Sea Bass and I had Lake trout. Both... More

We went to have dinner with his family, we stayed at the hotel across the street. We wanted to eat fish as a pre-read the menu, it was suggested a few dishes from a lake fish. We got what we wanted, thanks to the cook of the restaurant

Very impressed by this hidden gem outside Fuessen. Modern country-style restaurant with friendly service and a good selection of German dishes with a modern twist. My fish dish (sea bass) was freshly cooked and beautifully presented - the best food I had on this trip to Bavaria! Make sure to leave some room for the homemade poppy seed parfait -... More

On a rainy night entered the warm, busy and welcoming restaurant. Excellent home cooked Bavarian food, friendly atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit if in the area.

After suffering a really wet day in the mountains we were feeling down but as soon as we opened the door and stepped in we had a warm welcome. What followed really raised our spirits. Good German beer and wine and excellent food served by friendly staff. The trout was the best I've ever had, anywhere. It was a wonderful... More

We were delighted to find this upmarket restaurant right next to the pension of the same name where we were staying: we saved our visit here till our last evening, and were pleased we did: after the usual rather meat-heavy German menus we had seen all week, the beautifully fresh and well presented fish dishes we ate at the Steigmuhle...
