We went in to ask for directions to park, the interior looked very nice and the girl was so helpful that we returned after parking and checking in the hotel. It looked nice, very cosy and the food was great!

We enjoyed great, traditional German Rathskeller fare in this cozy setting. The meals were freshly prepared, hearty and delicious. The setting is warm, and fun - including carved chairs depicting the town fathers. The pork was mouthwatering and the spätzle the best we have had yet. Great dinner and a great value!

Mirroring other comments, yes, they're slow to take your order and the food takes a while to come out. So, don't come here if you're in a hurry. If you're looking to chill out over a couple of local brews and enjoy some traditional fare, then give it a go Also, cash only for the unaware

While the decor is very nice I would recommend just walking in to look and leaving. Half of the menu was not available and then it took 55 minutes from taking our order to the delivery of the food. When it did eventually come it was poorly cooked (baked potatoes undercooked, eggs burned). I would not recommend this place to... More

The Zum Pulverer offered two things when we ate there: first, a beautiful setting (exquisite woodwork and a classic German setting), and second, very good food at reasonable prices. The service was outstanding, and we truly felt welcomed in this restaurant. Although a lot of Rothenburg is very touristy, this restaurant preserves an authentic feel, which, when combined with the... More

The woodwork in the restaurant is outstanding. Chairs and ceiling are beautiful. I had my best meal of our 2 week trip. Fresh, hot homemade bread (steaming when brought to our table) with cheese spread and sausage and vegetables on a platter. English spoken here. Would eat here again. Good service

Bratwurst, sauerkraut, ham, eggs, salad, bratwurst dumplings, homemade bread, French fries, and hot chocolate for us. All good. Friendly waiter. Food speed was average. Nice environment.

Zum Pulverer was recommended to us by the Nightwatchmen, (look up the nightwatchmen's tour in Rothenburg.), and it became a highlight of our trip. I wish I could remember the names of our server and the cook, but they were SO exceptionally nice to us and spoke fluent English. We went in around 9:30 pm with the intention of only... More

We have been traveling around south east Germany for a week now. We have been in big cities and small towns. Hands down this is the best meal we have had all week! My husband had the burger and I had the ravioli. The wine was delicious as well. It's a cozy little place in the walls of the city,... More
