I went here for a beer and something to eat with an old friend. The place was busy with lots of tables. It was easy to get table for two and service was quick and friendly. Beer was served in 0.3 and .04 Lt and there were three different draught pilsners (3.40€ for 0.4) and a very good draught Weissbier... More

The best little gem of a restaurant cafe bar. The food and drink is well priced and good quality and there is a great buzz with a mix of young and old.

This place is really chilled and has good food!cool to watch people of Schöneberg passing by. The Caipis we had were fabulous, so we ended up having a few! The lady serving was quite interesting, a bit unmotivated, but did what she had to!

Better than average table service, good atmosphere, good place to watch the passing world. Schoenberg is an interesting developing area - Gotlob ( fabulous name ) is an inviting bar - sadly not all local serving bars are.

Good 2-course lunch on weekdays (€8.50), but dreadful, lacklustre waitstaff, at least on Wednesdays. a great pity, because the kitchen really tries hard.

Set on a sunny corner in Schoberberg this cafe has delicious antipasto, salads, pastas, and breakfasts. Breakfast is served with a glass of prosecco. Excellent coffee and tea. Sit inside or out.

Sorry to say, but the service from tonight was awful. First, they had problems understanding that I have a milk allergy and that I wanted to exchange cheese with goat cheese. In the end they ended up charging me with extra cheese though I did not order that. They told me that this is the way they do that, charging... More

During my short holiday in Berlin I went there a few times for coffee or a beer. Always busy and seemed to be malnly locals using it as it is not in a touristy part of town. Good coffee and beer. Would have liked to try the food which looked good. Newspapers available to read and the outside tables looked... More

Staying in Schoneberg

Neighbourhood Profile
In 1963, Schöneberg was the centre of the political west, inspiring John F. Kennedy to choose this area to famously announce, "Ich bin ein Berliner." Times may have changed, but modern-day Schöneberg still pays tribute to its historical legacies. Once the richest city outside of Berlin proper, the area's affluent past is still visible in ornate housing facades dating back to the Gründerzeit of the 19th century, while residents in fur coats walking their dogs or shopping in high-end KaDeWe continue the tradition with a modern flair. Schöneberg was also once the centre of the decadent and burlesque nightlife of the 1920s. It was here that Marlene Dietrich partied with Christopher Isherwood and the first gay bar in Germany was founded. Today, the gay community still revolves around Nollendorfplatz. The overground Ubahn station is even illuminated in rainbow colors, paying tribute to Schöneberg's progressive past.
