It's not the typical italian or greek restaurant, which we all now too good. It's nice to not have always the same choices. It serves traditional greek and turkish dishes, which you can select by yourself from the big showcase in the middle of the restaurant. It is really helpfull because you can also make yourself an idea of what's... More

Went here to have breakfast and were delighted by the pastes available and by the unusual combinations of sweet and sour. Thr place itself is quite cozy, with enjoyable music in the background and pleasant atmosphere. The major flaw is lack of desserts: except traditional baklava they only serve brownies. Apart from this, credit card payments are not possible.

Two times we had lunch at this cosy place in kreuzberg because the food was so good. The freshly made thin pancake (we had the vegan) was a treat. We got our food pretty fast even though the place is popular and packed most of the time. Its hard to find good, authentic cuisine in this busy neighbood, so Knofi... More

As we were walking outside we saw the place and it seemed great. We went in, ordered and everything was indeed great!! We had two soups and another turkish pie with minced meat. Great!! The place was warm and cosy, the service polite. Prices excellent. If you are in the neighborhood, do go!!

Delicious authentic Turkish food. Everything is full of flavours and makes your tastebuds go wow! Fresh and healthy, they also have vegetarian and vegan options. I just wanted to taste every single thing they had on display, it looks so delicious and exotic! Highly recommended!

Popped in here for lunch, which was an extremely friendly and delicious affair! The deli counter leaves you wanting more but the portions are so good that you would only be able to do so if you did take away or came back another day! Lovely and worth a visit.

We visited this restaurant before, this was our second visit. The restaurant is not that big but we were very lucky and got a table (4 persons). The staff was very welcoming. We ordered several small dishes and a good red housewine. The taste was great and it tasted very fresh. We had a great time. Very good value!! Unfortunately... More

The food is vegan and seems good but the stuffed things were cold, and we didn't ate half of it. Not the best place to eat, but nice and not heavy.

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Kreuzberg
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighbourhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
