So we had to do it the old school way and try somewhere that looked nice and looked like it did vegan food (as my work colleague is vegan). Tried this place and was pleasantly surprised! good value, tasty food, I had kebab and my colleague... More

Really enjoyed a dinner here in May 2017. Their outdoor seating area is lovely, food is cooked perfectly and comes in good size portions. Reasonably priced. Highly recommend it.

Great place to taste authentic Arabian food. Emphasis on Lebanese cuisine but also other specialties available. Good personal service, very friendly and helpful.

The food at the Casalot was excellent, and the service was even better. I came here multiple times during the week or so that I was in Berlin, and really enjoyed their mashawi and other Mediterranean food.

We had a lovely dinner here. Not all of the waiters could speak English but we felt well accommodated, the food was delicious and the service was great! There is a shisha lounge at the bac of the restaurant too which was lovely and cosy.

Lots of different choises which take you to the culinary trip to arabic / lebanese cuisine. There are easy ways to form your dinner by choosing one of the menus. Great experience.

We went to this restaurant twice during 1 week stay in Berlin, mainly because of the good food and secondly because of the location. The food is outstanding, the hosts are very warm and welcoming. They have a very nice and warm indoor area, and equally welcoming outdoor sitting. Everything we ordered tasted amazingly great and so fresh. They have... More

We were greeted by very friendly staff and gorgeous atmosphere. The place has a sophisticated and elegant oriental style but a comfortable feel that takes you back home - perfect setting to enjoy such authentic homemade cuisine. Starters were delightful: hummus with beef was just scrumptious - homemade and silky smooth with a buttery finish of toasted pine nuts and... More

Visited this restaurant as it was nearby to the hotel we were staying at. When we arrived we managed to get a table outside and although this restaurant is down a side street do not pass it by. We opted for the Nazareth grill for two and this started with a selection of authentic dips and bread in which the... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
