I went there on a Saturday afternoon and found the place by chance, since I saw so many people standing in line I thought the kebab must be out of this world. After one hour I thought I was unlucky and something unexpected had happened, then I decided to stay and see what the big fuss was about. I waited... More

The long line outside this small kebab house says enough, the reputation of this place is well-known throughout Berlin. Superb kebab, a mix of two sauces and baked vegetables. Also some options for our vegetarian friends.

Excellent Kebab. Best I have had. But I had to stand in line for an hour and a half. Unique because the vegetables are cooked, as well as the meat. Thankfully I got talking with the people ahead of me and after we got our food we went drinking and now are like friends for life. So win.

Had to wait for about 15 minutes but it totally worth it. The stuff was really friendly and helpful. As for the kebab, it was one of the best street food I've tasted. The mix of fresh fried vegetables and of good quality meat topped with lemon and chilly sos made our meal just perfect!

Although you have to wait for quite a while depending on the day and time you decide to visit it, I think it is worth it. Although we ve only tasted the vegeterian version as the chicken kebab had finished when we arrived and didn t want to wait any more, till the new one would be ready, we were... More

Had to wait in line for around 20 min on a weekday at 11 AM. But worth every minute. Lovely mix of lamb and veggies.

It is never simple to understand why are places with good reviews getting these reviews before one eats there. While we were enjoying the bitter cold of last night for longer then one hour waiting in the line to get a kebab from Mustafa's, we were wondering why are we doing that. Well, the first bite told us all. Never... More

We got here at possibly the worst time; saturday around seven o'clock in the evening. The queue was very long, so we decided to try it out for fifteen minutes to see how fast it was moving. It moved very slow, but we past time talking and laughing about ever having to wait this long for kebab. After 1 1/2... More

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighbourhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
