Although the food tasted good, service was ridiculously slow. We got served 1,30 hours after we ordered.

This is a very, very good place to dine in. Nice ambiance, super friendly staff and everything on the menu is good, no exception. Been twice in two different years, first time had the best ribs ever, unfortunately no ribs this year, but there was deer available, two different cookings, to die for. Flammkuchen To start with is a must.... More

We had a great evening. Good wine and delicious food. Simple German cuisines which cannot go wrong but the restaurant makes them elegant, unlike the gigantic portions serve in a typical German restaurant. Definitely worthwhile if you happen to be in the area during dinner time.

What a lovely old restaurant, serving old style Berlin food. It took a while for the waiter to warm up, but he got there in the end. The food is fab if you like German cuisine. Well worth a visit.

Solid food, delicious Flammkuchen. Love the atmospheric outside seating. Friendly service. Not cheap but worth it.

Very good food and the waiters were kindly, but they don't speak English well. We had a great time at this place.

Stumbled upon this rustic restaurant on a quiet street in Shoeneberg. The waiting staff were very friendly and welcoming and offered me a table on the inside of the restaurant where it was quieter. Had a good meal with a nice glass of wine. Simple but fulfilling.

We enjoyed a lovely meal whilst visiting friends, who live in Schoenberg, at Renger-Patzsch. It is a very nicely appointed small local restaurant offering first class menu and wine with excellent service. It offers a very nice ambience with traditional German food. We were there at the time of the Asparagus festivals so that the menus were configured to maximize... More

The food here is in a lighter style than you will find in most German restaurants, and the ambience is informal and pleasant. It’s a good place for groups and families but also for people who want well-prepared interesting food. Those who love “variety meats” must have the calf’s head in aspic on frisee salad with speck and croutons. It’s... More

Neighbourhood Profile
In 1963, Schöneberg was the centre of the political west, inspiring John F. Kennedy to choose this area to famously announce, "Ich bin ein Berliner." Times may have changed, but modern-day Schöneberg still pays tribute to its historical legacies. Once the richest city outside of Berlin proper, the area's affluent past is still visible in ornate housing facades dating back to the Gründerzeit of the 19th century, while residents in fur coats walking their dogs or shopping in high-end KaDeWe continue the tradition with a modern flair. Schöneberg was also once the centre of the decadent and burlesque nightlife of the 1920s. It was here that Marlene Dietrich partied with Christopher Isherwood and the first gay bar in Germany was founded. Today, the gay community still revolves around Nollendorfplatz. The overground Ubahn station is even illuminated in rainbow colors, paying tribute to Schöneberg's progressive past.
