Typical German place, nice simple food but quality and delicious with a combination of local beer makes your dinner tasty. Calm but. Ice interior and friendly staff

Located at the Berlin Plaza Hotel on the corn er of Kurfürstendamm and Knesebeckstrasse the location is superb. Great traditional Berlin dishes, nice atmosphere and friendly service.

We love German food & this place did not disappoint - the food was the best! We had 2 x steak, 1 pork knuckle & my daughters shared the mixed grill. Everything was absolutely cooked to perfection & we didn't have anything left! The service was brilliant and the beer flowed.. can not fault this place.. brilliant.

We arrived tired and hungry and left replete. Just like an English pub but in German. Quite quiet for Valentines night but the staff were really friendly and helpful. Menu had some English, so we didn't have to try things blind. We will go there again.

A friendly welcoming little bar/restaurant with some very well cooked and typically German dishes on the menu.

Food is heated up no doubt about it. I work in the food industry so I do know !! Walk a block or 2 and there is a fantastic German restaurant all freshly prepared. Do not attempt to try here

As is often the case, we found this place by chance. It is attached to the Plaza Hotel, but is open to all. When we visited there was a good selection of traditional German dishes available to choose from. The service was excellent - no pressure to order, just helpful advice. When the food arrived it was well presented, well... More

Food is not over the top, but good. Beers are cold and service is with a smile. The snitzel is good and so are the meatballs.

Visited this restaurant by chance after walking by while hungry. The service was good, as was the food. Decor is fairly modest and traditional-ish. Only negative was the waiter was pushy in insisting on mentioning that tip wasn't included - this before he presented the bill. Needless to say, that meant I gave him a smaller one...

We were staying in a nearby hotel and found this restaurant (part of the plaza hotel) by walking around the area. I was somewhat uneasy looking at the menu and how busy it was inside and out, but the lady serving had everything under control with friendly professionalism. Very good evening meal of German food, recommended.

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
