We went here on our first evening in Berlin to fully immerse ourselves in some authentic German cuisine! The place was mainly full of locals, which is usually a good sign! The food was really tasty, waitress was a little frosty but the food and...More

Cozy local bar, it does food that looks good, but we only called in for a couple of beers, we saw them bringing food out and it looked good so probably worth a punt. Definitely good for a beer or two though

Great little authentic pub in Prinzlauer district. Limited menu with a daily special. The food is tasty and inexpensive. The beer/alcohol selection is reasonable and includes a number of Berliner specialities. And the atmosphere is authentic. For an true taste of Berlin give this little...More

Old fashioned, fine mix of guests, well poured beer. Nice contrast to the new and hip places. Memorabilia on the walls, locals and tourists.

I don't know if it's really a typical German place but that's really how I imagine it: simple and efficient. The food and beers were great.

We were lucky that friends who live in Prenzlauer Berg took us to this wonderful pub, the oldest in the neighborhood. It's been run by the same family since 1913. The overall atmosphere was delightful. Mixed with the "traditional" decor were photos of the family,...More

Very simple and good food served by a friendly service. This is a more then 100 years old German traditional neighbourhood bar with great beer and service and fair prices. Recommended if you are in the neighborhood.

No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change
than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists
that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in
the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip
crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were
once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall,
there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have
been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays,
