As we had arrived quite late in the evening and were staying jut next door, we popped in for a light supper. The atmosphere was lovely, service was friendly and the wine amazing. We ordered some basic dishes (lasagne and bruschetta) and they arrived promptly....More

When we went to Sagrantino we felt quite comfortable, we ordered some entrees (Do not recommend the Vitello Tonato) and ordered dishes to share, in general de food was okay. The service was quite nice and the restaurant was very nice.

Service was quite slow and the meal was ok but quite pricey for what it was. The food was quite rich.

First night in Berlin, strolled down the street from the hotel, it was a bit late on a cold eve, so we decided to step in to a warm place, service was prompt and efficient, food was pretty good as well. I would go back...More

A very friendly Italian for this area. Charming service in the small restaurant. Large selection of wines from Montefalco. Kitchen is simple but good. Great after the concert or the opera.

Meal expensive for Berlin and the menu choice was very limited. Service was attentive once we got past the waiter on the door who tut tutted when we said we hadn’t got a reservation. Seems it’s quite a popular restaurant as it was busy. Food...More

Tasteful lasagne bolognese and tagliatelle con vongole. Service not friendly nor unfriendly. Very good red house wine. Not cheap wine but it seems that everywhere in Berlin wine is expensive.

We were staying just by Sagrantino which was recommended by our hotel. We had a really nice dinner there on our first evening in Berlin. Everything was freshly cooked and nicely presented and the pastas were excellent. It’s a really friendly, cosy, informal place and...More

As I was staying the adjacent hotel I spent a lot of time in Sagrantino, almost as my base of operations. The staff were unfailingly pleasant (especially Lucrezia, whose service was far beyond what anyone can reasonably expect) and the food is delightful. They also...More

Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights
like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum
Island. The central location makes this one of the
city's most expensive places to live. It is here the
oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence
of some significant transformations, as well. The
gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets
between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given

Description
The Sagrantino is a wonderful, creative concept combining a wine bar, restaurant, web portal for the many oenological and cultural attractions in the Sagrantino region, with plenty of other surprises in store including its links with the music programmes at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden (Berlin State Opera) and the Komische Oper Berlin (Berlin Comic Opera). The culinary delights of this innovative, artistic meeting place are popular with the many (well-connected) fans of the Sagrantino and includes traditional Italian fare such as Stuzzichini, Carpaccio, Zuppa, Pasta, Insalate, Desserts, plus Degustazione, Breakfasts, Business Lunches and other little extras, and of course excellent wines from the Sagrantino region, all at very reasonable prices.
