You get everything you expect from a Michelin star restaurant. Very good service, refined dishes in a modern industrial atmosphere. The only thing was that the pace of the dishes was way too slow. 6 courses menu took 4 hours to serve with long pauses between the dishes. Tastes are very balanced. They had venison as a main course which... More

this is a very good restaurant with lots to taste and a very special menu, with near and far on the menu. You can only choose from one of the menus and we choose from the far menu. Lots of exiting combinations of flavors and most to our liking. Nice service a very knowingly sommelier and very casual waiters served... More

I loooove fine dining going funky & relaxed and we felt really well catered for. Surprises and special dishes well balanced with very palatable traditional takes. Truly beautiful interior and very warm and attentive service (OK - it was mid week and not very busy). Great wine choices and even a craft brew available... gotta enjoy!

Minimalist room – very comfortable and quiet for good conversations. The helpful and knowledgeable staff work hard (it’s a two-star Michelin place), with many added appetizers and desserts. Nice method of choosing five or more courses from one of two menus. Best was a goose dish. Excellent wine list.

Reinstoff lives up to the hype of its 2 Michelin stars. Guests can choose between the faraway or the nearby menus. As the names suggests, the "nearby" menu features German inspired dishes and the "faraway" features dishes with an international flare. All 8-9 offered courses were delicious and perfectly timed. There is also an option to make your tasting menu... More

A delicious surprise menu arranged in advance. Imaginative ingredients perfectly prepared and with surprising successful marriages. Fabien, the Maitre d'Hotel, made us feel both at home and relaxed. Perfect service.

We picked this restaurant for a celebratory dinner with four people. Service was immaculate, attentive, helpful. No arrogance whatsoever in spite of the restaurant's considerable status among the cognoscenti. Food was delicious, superbly crafted, but do go for a larger number of courses than your first impulse may suggest, as they tend to be on the smaller side, so more... More

It's a set menu for dinner which you can choose from 5 to 9 courses with or without wine paring. It's interesting experience for the good presented and served. Quite cozy but not so sure whether it's French, German or gastronomy type of food. But again it will be a good try out of you are tired of typical German... More

A most wonderful place. The staff was very attentive. The food was superb. Every dish was a culinary achievement worth every praise. We got free appetizers from the chef - pepper and peach, small squid, carrot and hemp lard all exellent and the best of all was the wood sorrel pistachio. You decide how many dishes to have in advance.... More

Wow! Yum! Exactly what my husband and I were hoping for on every level. Stunning, imaginative food that pushes boundaries and makes you smile. Perfect wine pairings; all stunners, and a couple of surprises). Flawless, friendly service. This is the type of Michelin starred restaurant we love; more than fine dining, more than just great food, the team at Reinstoff... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
