The restaurant has a quiet and attractive ambience. We were warmly welcomed and had some delicious mezze to share as a starter. The main courses were a mixed bag! Some people had delicious lamb; the 'spicy meatballs' were rather tasteless burgers; all dishes were supposed to come with bulgur wheat but came with rice instead with no explanation. The main... I have ordered a meal and a bottled weiss beer-0.5l. A beer arrived but not in a bottle and in 0.4l quantity. I have referred to a waitresses but she "learned" me that if I wait a while a beer foam will melt and fill out the glass :(

I heard if you come to Berlin you have to try the Turkish food. This place was great. Really nice menu with a lot to choose from. Everyone loved their food and very reasonably priced. Don't walk past this place you have to walk in and give it a try!!! You won't regret it.

Was very pleasantly surprised visiting this restaurant last month, I love Turkish cuisine & theirs was very nice. Not the cheapest I've eaten but probably reflects the district it's located in. Worth a visit if you are in the neighbourhood.

Some people will think that the decor here is elegant and stylish, others will find it gaudy and over the top - I thought it was kitsch but if you can get over that, you'll be treated to a feast of Turkish food is worth travelling to moabit. Service was friendly and the food (well priced but not expensive) is... More

One of the real original turkish cuisine you may find in berlin. Ask their recommendation rather than checking the menu.

We were a group of 10 people celebrating one of our 40th birthday and we booked a table at Osmanya. It was a really balmy Saturday night, and thankfully they had reserved us a table in the outdoor area on the street - and despite being 'on the street', it felt like a garden, which was lovely. As a vegetarian,... More

This is probably the best turkish restaurant in town. Lovely service and lovely setting. But the best is in the plate: i had the best lamb filet of my life there, the meat was exquisite, so were the sides (the turkish rice is a must taste) I loved it, and my mother and my husband too (my husband had some... The moment you enter the restaurant you will have the feeling of entering one of the Turkish "Saraya" .. a very nice interior design. When I saw the menu I realized that this restaurant serves a modern Ottoman cuisine. We were a group of 6 people and we ordered a variety of starters including marinaded grilled eggplants, mixed garden salad,... More

Staying in Moabit

Neighbourhood Profile
You may not realize Moabit is one of the city’s most central neighbourhoods when you arrive at Hauptbahnhof (central station). Surrounded by waterways, Moabit is a quiet island protected from the hustle and bustle of Berlin. The crowds that do gather prefer spending their evenings in cozy restaurants over the party venues offered by other districts. With its beautiful parks, old housing and romantic industrial areas, life has traditionally been relaxed and a bit slower here. But the tone may soon be changing. Reasonable housing costs and proximity to city centre are attracting more young Berliners and international visitors. This interest is encouraging new bars, cafés and nightclubs, making Moabit a candidate for most up-and-coming neighbourhood in the city.
