Very friendly service, pity it doesnt bring anything if the food is not good. Average pasta dish, overcooked, gnocchi dry, tasteless, you really feel they are trying but it has nothing to do with italian cousine. Not authentic at all. The waiter guy is super handsome.

I liked the restaurant, a small place with good and fast service, but I would surely had a better meal if they had a menu in English as I was expecting to find considering I'm in the centre of Berlin... The waiter was kind enough to suggest me the most popular plate (some potato balls) but if I had a... More

It's been almost a year since I visited Mio for Sunday brunch and oh boy what a surprise it was. I still dream about it and not the least because of it's very reasonable prize (12,5e + drinks) compared to vast selection of foods. We walked in because it looked full (=popular among locals), the place was full indeed but... More

Yummy Mediterranean Food and excellent service! This place is usually booked so it's good to make a reservation beforehand. There is a regular menu but there are also daily delicious dishes. I usually eat the appetizer "MIO Teller" as the main course because I love to have a little bit of everything :-)

This place is a gem. Found it by mistake. I don't speak any German, and the lady was so helpful and so kind. The Pasta was the best I've ever had. Great portions, with so much flavor. My Mom had a huge salad with all kinds of fresh veggies and chicken. This place is a definite must with good prices

It started to rain just as we walked down Samariterstasse and we were hungry so we dropped in. Delicious soup plenty of vegetables with our meat, affordable wine and great service. A cosy and welcome atmosphere. Go there.

Reading these reviews i can see many (most of the bad ones) are about Mio in Mitte. The photo seems to be from there for some reason but the description is for the small Mio finekost & restaurant in Friedrichshain. We live nearby and go often. Very small cozy place. Food can take a little while but always tasty. Even... More

I really like Mio. It's a small, but cozy place, hidden in a backstreet in F'hain. It's a nice meal for a reasonable price. Reserve a table in advance, since it's quite small and fills up quickly

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighbourhood Profile
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
