we were sent here by our hotel. Despite a reservation and VERY few people in the restaurant we waited 15 minutes to be seated. They asked us to stand near the door. Eventually seated in the back of the room, next to American businessmen and other tourists, it is was obvious that we were a low priority. We again waited... More

The restaurant has excellent service and fantastic works of art / murals on the walls. My only critique was the slightly limited wine menu in terms of German wines. Otherwise it was a lovely experience.

Service was excellent and very friendly. The menu was modern European/German and everything we ordered was fantastic. Interesting decor and good atmosphere.

We were given a table and promptly we ignored despite it not being very busy, not given any menus!....when we got up to leave, the service suddenly improved. The food was very good, l had scallops and my wife had duck, then shared a nice plum strudel. Shame that we had to threaten to leave to get service

We ate Dinner here on 29 Oct 2016. We were 6 women on a weekend break to Berlin. The restaurant dining hall is large and spacious and we were excited to try the food. We were disappointed that one of our meals was not what we ordered but my friend agreed to have the meal anyway as we had waited... More

Old fashioned charm; seems similar to a lot of the German upscale restaurants. Food was average, seating comfortable, location good. The painted carving covers pretty much the whole wall. Ok for a night out.

we had dinner there after konfrentsiyi. Pretty original design. The menu was good, the waiters coped but not smiling and had to ask them to fill the glasses. In general we can recommend.

This is a great location ! Unfortunately the restaurant is to big, to large to high. To have a good feeling it need a lot of guests! Otherwise, even with more than 50 guests, you still lost. The design on the walls is good. The service is ok. The menue very good. They should try to make a kind od... More

Business meal. Excellent schnitzel . But the chocolate desserts were a bit of a disappointed. Ate here with clients. The decor is very interesting and quite interesting. The food is middle European with plenty of pork knuckle etc. On the whole the starters and the mains were good and generous, but avoid the desserts if you have room. We shared... More

Our restaurant with its unique ambience is located directly at Gendarmenmarkt in Berlin Mitte, one of the most beautiful places in Berlin. We serve modern German cuisine with a focus on specialities from Berlin with international influences. "Berliner Bio-Senfeier" (organic mustard egg), "Konigsberger Klopse" (traditional meatballs) and the legendary Schnitzel "Le gens d'arms" are just some of our delicious highlights. Be our guest and enjoy a wonderful time at our restaurant!

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
