We went here last minute without any expectation. The food was so cheap so we had a lot of doubts about the quality. We were absoluty surprised by the quality of the food! Large sizes of flavorful food and extremely personal and friendly personnel. We are astounded, this place is worth a visit!

We went there by chance bcs everything else was closed. I had a bun cha and my bf a curry with crispy tofu. Mine was good even though it was not the original recipe, there were no pork meatballs but bacon. I'd say that it was good anyway. The curry was nothing to die for but still good.

I was searching some simple Pho place in this neighborhood and this place saved me. Nice and fast service. I took pho bo and already the smell was amazing, nice herb spices and great taste!!! They have place to sit inside and outside. Cool area. Recommended! :))

Had a very nice dinner in Tonkin. As I knew Vietnamese food only on the basic level, it was a good option to learn a bit more. Being vegan, it was nice to find dinning options suitable for vegans (Tofu, fake meat) and the staff was very helpful to find the right choices. Place is rather small, but has a... More

Really enjoyed the Pho Bo here, for those entering into the world of Vietnamese for the first time this incredible soup is both tasty, hot, flavoursome and fresh. Would highly recommend!!

My husband, myself and another couple ate here because we wanted something quick, cheap and yum. We were seated outside on the street much to our preference as it was a warm summer's night. I ate the Pho and the taro milk tea with lychee bubbles. My friend ate this deep fried spring roll things with noodles and that is... More

Had the chicken noodle soup and some spring rolls. Can also recommend the ice tea and the ginger and honey tea. Good value for money.

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighbourhood Profile
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
