As a Mexican, it is not easy to find good, authentic, Mexican food a long way from home. I was relieved and more than happy to find this place, it is delicious! I had the campechanos, but I'm sure everything else is equally mouth-watering.

Let me start by saying the food here is exceptional. My partner ordered the tacos and they are insanely fresh. However, the wait on a Friday night was a little much. Great atmosphere and food though. Would go back again.

Where the Oranienstraße and Adalbertstraße cross you'll find this fine Mexcian restaurant, Don't get fooled by the worn down benches outside or the skulls painted on the bar - the food Santa Maria has on offer is delicious - they won a prize in 2010...More

We were wondering around in Kreuzberg and stopped by Santa Maria for a light Mexican bite. When entering the restaurant you get a weird felling. A small restaurant with a bar and an open kitchen just there in the restaurant. We had some nachos with...More

Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can
both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central
neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the
1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around
Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s,
rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a
carefree life here. An old hospital even became a
hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today

Santa Maria is the biggest and busiest Mexican restaurant in Berlin. Santa Maria has a tradition of typical Mexican street food with favourites such as tacos al pastor and chilaquiles, with a full bar offering a range of mezcales, tequilas and cocktails. Santa Maria is famous for Taco Tuesdays (offering 1€ tacos and tequilas), a pumping atmosphere, fast service and late nights on weekends.
