The combination of terrific food, freshly made and the more than perfect service by Gabriela makes this place the best I've been in Berlin these past days. I don't want to leave... Go there!!

We went to get a drink to valuate the menu, weather or not to eat our dinner at the location. We asked for our bill as our drinks arrived and the waiter asked us how much we wanted to pay, trying to cash in some tips for lousy overpriced gintonics. We only had had two overpriced drinks and were thinking... More

Zaim offers an extensive choice of Lebanese and European food (steaks!) - in the heart of Prenzlauer Berg. With pleasant seating, both outdoors and indoors. Friendly and efficient service - very much recommended.

This was the first place we ate at after a very long flight to Berlin, and sat down knowing nothing about the place other than it was close to our apartment which we were running early for checkin for. We ordered a few things to share for lunch and enjoyed the fresh flavours of the dishes. Service was prompt and... More

Good staff fast service and great Lebanese cuidine. My wife especially enjoyed the baba ganoush. Would return any time. Try the eggplant with mushroom and zucchini. The marinated skewers are great. Would return.

We went there three times this week, after searching Berlin very widely and increasingly desperately for gluten-free eating with no success. The Zaim was wonderfully welcoming and the Manager, Ahmad, had a complete understanding of gluten-free, through providing for his family which contains a gluten- allergy-sufferer. He and the chef provided a wonderful range of gluten-free dishes which were delicious... More

We were attracted to this venue by the promise of veggie specials, and it has a really food selection for vegetarians, as do many places in this city. I had a very tasty roasted veg platter with sauces and bread, with wine. Busy and efficient, friendly service, well recommended either daytime or evening meals. It is not expensive and in... More

We had dinner at Zaim on April 3rd. Outdoor sitting was good as we had two small children with us which allowed us to let them play on the large sidewalk. First of all all dishes are very generous, I picked mixed meze as starter which combined almost all hot and cold mezes in one dish and it was amazingly... More

My third time here now and havnt been disappointed. Presentation is great, service is great, flavors are authentic and price is reasonable. My favorite so far has been the kafta. Flavors according to my palate were superb! Portions are sufficient and you get a basic salad to start.

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighbourhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
