We booked an evening meal at the TV tower last weekend on a city break to Berlin. We were not able to get window table but with hindsight we were pleased we didn't pay the extra for this as the view was still great from our inner circle table. However after long waits being herded on stairways waiting to go... More

Great experience, the view is wonderful - definitely go up at sunset! The bar at the top is a little expensive but if you plan for it, its really worth having a drink or two up there while watching the sun go down and the city come to life.

We prebooked skip the line tickets for the Berlin TV Tower and lunch, weeks ahead of our trip to Berlin. We got through security within 5 minutes and were able to skip the queue for the lift. We booked a window table, which was slightly more expensive, but well worth the extra money, as you spend most of the time... More

We had a long week-end in Berlin and decided to have at the Sphere Restaurant. Never again. The service was incredible lousy. We had ordered drinks before dinner but suddenly the food was served before we had received our drinks and wine. When we asked them to wait with the food, the waitress got very offended. The quality of the... More

Was on a Mothers Day trip and were advised this was a 'must do'. Accompanying kids had been promised a chance in the revolving restaurant. However we didn't realise this required such a long wait until a table was available!! Just as well there was plenty of info below to keep me occupied. Waiter was very pleasant. I ordered what... We purchased skip the line tickets for the Berlin TV Tower and lunch at 2:00 pm. You are advised on the tickets you receive to arrive 15 minutes early. You still need to queue to get through security and get into the lift for the viewing gallery/restaurant just not as long as others. It took us 20 minutes to get... More

I came to eat a breakfast in this restaurant. I can say it was an upgraded continental breakfast. The service is very good and the view is marvelous, and the food is nice to have but not the main point there. You download an application with the voucher to the restaurant and you show it in the entrance to the... More

Pre paid reservations are needed in order to book a window table or an inner circle table. The window table option is slightly more expensive by a few euros. We went for the inner circle option at 19.50 euros each and this reserved a table and enabled us to skip the line. We went early evening and had the pleasure... More

Perfect! Simply a stunning experience; from the ascending of the lift to the piano playing which accompanied our meal as we turned ever so slowly with Berlin laid out below us twinkling with a 1,000 lights. The meal was superb, accompanied by the glass of fizz and carafe of wine, more than enough. Staff were attentive and helpful and really... More

We brought skip the line entrance & a table at the restaurant at 19.50 euro each, that's before you eat so be prepared for the additional cost. The burger ordered by my partner, he says, 'was one of the best burgers he ever had'! I had chicken salad. All said & done it's great to eat in a revolving restaurant... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
