For your coffee stop, whilst strolling around or shopping in Prenzlauer Berg,Bonanza would be excellent. You have a choice between several types, skillfully prepared by the staff. The shop - in fact, it's not a restaurant, as they only offer some cookies or so, at an extra charge - offers a pleasant atmosphere, and you'll find yourself among several other... More

We were there for breakfast and got great coffee with croissants. Do not expect to get food beyond a croissant or a cookie – so if you want a full breakfast you should go somewhere else. The place is not so easy to spot on distance. They have different types of coffee of high quality at reasonable price.

There are no disputes in the matters of taste. My coffee, straight short, pure Ethiopian sort, tasted sour. But it was definitely something to remember. They have only two sorts and tasting another brand would take another twenty minutes of waiting. Boy, they do take their time. Once a place becomes a cult, giving it an average rating stands out.... This place reminds me of the minimalistic scandinavian hipster coffee shops. It smells so nice with coffee inside, I highly recommend if you are a coffee geek. Their coffee taste so complex and smooth at the same time, I got shocked with the explosion of coffee taste. I bought also 2 packs of roasted coffee beans, it was quite pricy... More

the coffee is really good but the service is really poor. They dont care about you and i have been there multiple times always the same! The coffee is good but not cheap. If you like good coffee and dont care how you will be treated - fine

Go and try Bonanza's iced flat white in the summer, and every other future iced coffee will fail your expectations from now on. It's the best iced coffee in Berlin.

Absolutely wonderful coffee and location. After being disappointed many times in various cafes in Berlin, I must say it's the best one. Perfect place to drink a tasty coffee (cappuccino) and then head to Mauerpark on Sunday. Perfect for couples, solo drink and work.

Happened upon this by accident but glad we did, really good coffee, free wifi, fun venue and good location. Enough seats outside too though you may have to be ready to pounce on a busy day as soon as someone leaves!

Had a lovely iced coffee, and was so pleased I had to have an affogato as well. Bought a bag of beans, and had them ground in the shop. Great service, great coffee. I will be back.

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighbourhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
