Generous portions and modest prices - we had 2 fresh prawn Spring rolls, 2 pad Thais and 2 lassis for 22 euros. You order inside at the till, then sit outside (in summer, anyway) at benches and they call your order number out through a loudspeaker.

Stumbled across this place and so glad we did. The food is absolutely amazing, so tasty and good portion sizes as well. Prices are superb - we had a starter, main and a beer for 11 euros each. Highly recommended - I should of gone back.

We found this restaurant by coincidence. The staff is super friendly and nice. Prices are damn cheep and most important the food is super tasty. I just can recommend the Duy Thai to everyone who want to have a good thai meal in a pleasant atmosphere.

This place is definitely no thrills (simple food, self-service, staff shout at each other), but the food is excellent for the price. We came back here repeatedly during our month long stay in Berlin. I really liked the chicken satay sticks with peanut sauce (3 decent sized satays for €3), green curry with tofu and chicken with soy and ginger... More

This thai-restaurant is heaven! The food is fresh, tasty, homemade and delicate. The surroundings is cosy and because of the selfservice the prices are low. I can recommand nr. 56 on the menucard, yummy! Everytime I am in Berlin I HAVE to visit Duy Thai!!

I had eaten there many years ago. Sat outside on a warm spring day. The foods is still good. Fresh, tasty and reasonably priced.

It's restaurant food but with fast food prices and way to do, you come to the bar to take your food but it's really tasty. I really liked the chicken soup.

We spent more than a week in Berlin so we had quite some time to check out a few places and we were delighted by this Thai place. Is has more of a take-away style as you have to order and collect your food at the counter but it was one of the best meals, which I had in Berlin.... More

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighbourhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
