Let me just start off by saying the food (breakfast) was the way it's supposed to be. Fresh and tasty. But the real gem here... The waiter! A bald, middle-aged guy, who looks like he's waiting a thousand tables at the same times. When you ask for the menu, he just sighs and runs off to another table. When we... More

We came to this place on Monday at around 16 to have some ice cream and a cake. It's just across a nice park. The ice cream it's not so creamy but the cakes are good and the environment it's nice. The only bad thing was the blond woman who attend us. She is extremely unfriendly and inpatient. We went... More

I must have had a record-breaking brunch experience here... not sure if they had a bad day, but this is nowhere acceptable... In short: We managed to order after half an hour, then food came out in another half an hour - i.e. half of the order, kept on asking about the rest of the food, they said it's coming,... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
