We were recommended to this restaurant by friends-we were not disappointed -we found the food [especially the sashimi] fresh + beautifully prepared -the wine list was also good The service was average on the night that we ate at Sapa as our waiter was obviously in training but it did not detract from the otherwise excellent food

Sapa, located near checkpoint Charlie, is massive really underrated. Do not let the bland pictures published on trip advisor fool you, this is a classy, well decorated, beautiful and market restaurant. The Tuna Tartar is to die for, while their sushi game is 100% on point. Highly recommended.

We had dinner at Sapa Sushi with friends. I must admit that this was one of the best Sushi restaurants I have recently visited. They offer a big selection of food, including soups, sushi, sashimi and grill. You can choose between different single dishes and sushi sets for 2-4 people. The price/quality ratio is at least good. I like the... More

We came here for lunch. It is very dark inside but the interieur is nice. The service was good and quick which we find important during lunch. The food is ok. 2 sushi and one sashimi. I had sashimi and by my taste buds some of the fish was not fresh but previously frozen. It was very watery. Salmon and... More

Food is ok, more along the lines of fusion Asian food. They serve Vietnamese noodle soups but not that good as the soup tasted like from bottled sauce. You won't find the typical Japanese foods but taste is ok. One plus is that if you want spicy and fresh, they do give you fresh cut up red chilies instead of... More

This is a nice place with stylish interior design. Food is good. Especially for Lunch, there is a great menu, fairly priced. Drinks seem a little expensive. Be here before noon in order to get a table. From 12-2p.m. This place is crowded. In the evenings food offers change and the prices are higher. I highly recommend the "Sauer-Scharf-Suppe", which... Disclaimer, I'm an Asian from California, and eat a lot (and I mean a lot) of sushi/Japanese food, so my standards might be a bit different. We also didn't try the actual sushi sashimi (just as a precaution). My boyfriend and I were craving Japanese food, since we've been out of the country for a while. This place was decent.... More

Sushi style resturant. Creative and tasety . Good and polite service. The food is of high quality materials and elegantly served. Not so much options for vegans and vegeterians, but the only veggi role they had was very good.

We were staying near this restaurant and ate here a few times. The food was fresh, tasty and promptly served. Prices were very reasonable. The restaurant itself is modern, clean and welcoming. Highly recommend this place!!

The sushi did not seem fresh and was tasteless. We were in Berlin for three days, and had all our meal in restaurants. This one was the poorest, and my recommendation is to avoid it.

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
