This place was not in the usual location and we weren't sure if we were at the right place, but the food was worth the trip. This place gets packed quickly and everything is very casual here, but the food is excellent. The portions were huge and delicious and I would definitely recommend coming here to get your schnitzel on.... More

Wonderfull "Schnitzel". After a long walk we felt quite hungry so we decided just to stop at any place but we never thought we would be so lucky to find such nice "Schnitzel" because the meat was so soft and well done that even if its not your favorite food you can't say no! It was very cold but we... More

First schnitzel ever. Yummy it was a port schnitzel. Good atmosphere, really friendly staff. Could do with giving the place a deep clean. But it is what it is. Yummy

Great veal Schnitzel in a plastic plate with great Potato salad . The place is small but we went in a Saturday afternoon and we managed to get a seat and the time we waited for our food to be ready was reasonable. Clients need to take care of the cutlery , drinks and even putting away their plates but... More

The schnitzel is good and warm as it is cooked after being orderer. Unfortunately there's not so much room to sit. I would recommend it if you want to taste something typical to eat during your walk.

This is very classic sandwich - just a roll, some cucumber sauce, and crispy schnitzel - perfect walking around snack! Cool place too!

Came here with my partner for a cheap bite to eat after walking all day for miles exploring Berlin. Great value, large portions and the guy behind the counter was super helpful despite our lack of German language skills. It is a bit on the small side but turnover is pretty speedy so as long as you aren't a large... More

Scheers is conveniently located for a quick bite to eat before or after a visit to the East Side Gallery. It's an unassuming place, and you'd probably walk past it if you didn't know in advance just how good it is! I had a chicken schnitzel sandwich - the schnitzel was prepared and cooked totally fresh, and it also had... More

When your in Berlin try this place. Easy to get public transport to. If you were walking past you would probably just keep walking due to the look of the place inside and out. But there are many types of schnitzel to choose from and even though we couldn't understand the German menu the lady was very helpful. Cost is... More

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighbourhood Profile
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
