I stopped by for breakfast and was impressed with this place. The food was priced well, cooked fast, and tasty. Nice place to sit outside when the weather permits.

Looking wise classical Mitte place, indoor 30-35 seat is available, so not too big. For breakfast, especially egg related products good place. Not expensive. Breakfast types are great, a huge breakfast plate they have and amazing, they have 2 type of tasting chooice. 4 type of egg style. Toast and salats they have and also mueslie's. Eggs and presentation and... More

We entered Factory Girl on a sunday morning as it looked really nice and the menu sounded very tempting. We waited around 10 minutes until one of the staff came and placed the cuttery on the table and left without any comment. After 20 minutes of waiting without being able to order any drinks or food, we left and the... More

Nice, alternative, a bit unconventional café in Berlin Mitte, quite international (staff to guests), great coffee and drinks, good food (not very consistent), unusual service but matches the place, place is cramped, closes early

Factory Girl is a friendly and laid-back cafe with quirky decor including original art work and amusing signs and knick-knacks. It is not far from Rosenthalerplatz, but a little off the beaten track in a quiet neighborhood with a few other cafes and shops. We stopped in for a late breakfast one day, and liked it so much that we... More

We ate breakfast twice here. Great tasting coffee and inexpensive compared to others. Eggs were a bit overdone but otherwise ok and inexpensive Cool place and friendly folks..

Okay, so the good first: the food here was absolutely delicious. I ordered a vegetarian tasting platter and homemade lemonade. The serves are generous - lots of cheese, bread and goodies. Excellent value. The reason why I've given it such a low score was the completely indifferent attitude of the wait staff. Over half the tables in the cafe were... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
