Caffe e Gelato seems like a very popular place, and why wouldn't it be. This place serves huge desserts. We ordered one of the ice cream desserts and got an ice cream that was 3 times the size of any ice cream I ordered I got in other places. Although the size it pretty cool the ice cream itself wasn't... More

We had ice creams to take away twice on the way back to the hotel. Delicious and inexpensive to take away.

I had the Lasagna Eis and it was delicious! Vanilla gelato, whipped cream, berry sauce, and chocolate shavings! Yum! If you love gelato and are in Berlin, you must come here!

This place is a must if you like ice cream - it has an incredible menu but beware, some of the portions are very big ! Went with a friend who had been before so was forewarned and just tried three scoops of ice cream. It is fun just to sit and watch everyone being served.

Had some lovely hazelnut ice cream with a home-made sabaglione liqueur and hazelnuts. Not particularly cheap but decent quality and enormous portions, I couldn't finish mine! Made for a nice desert after eating at a nearby steakhouse. The restaurant is on the first floor of the shopping centre, a few minutes walk from the S/U bahn at Potzdammer Platz

Ice cream is great! Portions are huge. The Sacher we had was tasty, soft and still a bit warm. Semifreddo with ice cream was nice but a bit too much semifreddo versus ice cream. Would recommend regular ice cream scoops.

You won't be disappointed if you come here, service is fast and with quality, tea and coffee were pretty good(but I've tasted better), and the ice-cream was delicious.

I read the prior reviews, as well, and felt this was worth a try, especially since it is in the Potsdamer Platz Arkaden across from our hotel. We were wrong -- the ice cream was cold, and that's the nicest thing I can say. We had the tiramisu and pistachio and the texture was that slick, artificial ingredient greasiness that... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
