Loved the atmosphere and vibe of this small colorful restaurant. It felt very authentic (though I haven't been to Chile). We shared some empanadas to start and then I had the whole grilled Dorada which was fantastic. Friendly service and good Chilean wine available. Good value for money.

We went prior to performance at Staatsoper Im Schiller--table at window excellent for people-watching. The seafood platter starter could have been enough because it was so generous--beautiful presentation. Sea bream excellent. Pastel de choclo outstanding. Wine list exclusively Chilean and well selected.

Fantastic place! I'm from Chile, so I can confirm that it's actually Chilean food that's being served. Perfect!

We booked this restaurant before arriving in Berlin so it was a little bit of a gamble. We need not have worried as the welcome and plate of fresh bread and salsas immediately suggested that this was a little find. Our starter was a selection of wonderful Empanadas of various types with cheese, spiced meat, spinach and corn with cheese.... More

We ate here on an evening after passing the previous evening and seeing it was very busy and looked nice. We managed to get the last table without booking luckily. The food was amazing, we had lamb chops and sea bass for our mains, generous portions. Started was a delicious avocado and apple salad, and an artichoke. Lemon tart dressed... More

It was my second time in La Tia Rica and I would come back again!! Great service and cute place. We had fantastic sea food plate for two. Some fish with wine sauce and lemon pie. The portions are still huge so I would suggest two courses for someone who's not a big eater or sharing. I do eat a... More

I loved the mixed sea food platter the chevice and the various chilenean specialties. Wines are excellent, prices are fair. Atmoshere plain and with very good taste, Service really friendly. A definite recommendation! Latin food!

I trusted the good reviews on Tripadvisor and invited two colleagues to this place. Everything started out fine - nice mixed seafood starter, great pisco sours, very nice wine. 1.5 hours into the "meal", I notice we're getting hungry - had two bottles of wine and shared a starter, but no main course to be found. A waiter comes out... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
