The place looks somewhat chic at first. But in the end, it is a coffee bar where you quickly feel welcome. We stopped there for our little 5 PM treat and had a nice peaceful time. Too late for a kaiser torte but still very...nice fruit tarts. I definitely recommand the address for a quiet moment.More
This little restaurant was over the street from where I was staying. It advertised Weiner Snitzels on a street board - so I thought I would check it out. I went at 8pm - and there were absolutely no tables - so I recommend u...book. There was space at the bar, so I ate there. I had the scallops tapas - which came with 3 decent sized scallops which were cooked perfectly - a little bit salty for me. The Weiner Snitzel was HUgE! I took half of it home for lunch the next day. It comes with a yummy potato salad and pickled cucumbers. I also had the creme brûlée- which was HUge also and tasty! I had a great convo with a couple sitting at the bar. - and the staff were super friendly. Highly recommend.More
We ate here twice during our visit to Berlin. Once outside and once inside. Great place to watch people in the neighborhood plus the food was tasty and elegantly presented. Very nice staff.

Allegedly, this place is an institution. At least, that's what it claims. In this case, this seems to apply that they no longer need to make an effort. Bored and rude staff is hesitant to serve it's guests. The food listed on the menu was...not available, not even the beer was. Instead of draft, they only offered bottles which turned out to warm. The food in return was cold. Overall an unpleasant experience. Some institutions expire and in this case, it's definitely time for something new.More
This cafe was an unpleasant experience which is unusual in Berlin. The annoying thing is that there are so many great places to eat here that when you pick a bad one and you are only here for 3 days visit from Australia it makes...it worse. The very average treatment we received from the grump serving us was outrageously rude. Ok - we don't speak German - but we tried .. A little help would be appreciated. And yet another establishment that doesn't accept cards - had to go off and find an ATM without any help from the staff. Oh, and the food was nothing to write home about at all!More

Breakfast is served until 4 pm :) You can chose 2 items between a lot of different items together with a bread basket. Fantastic coffé.
Visited several times over the course of our long weekend in Berlin (so good that we just kept going back :-) Super friendly staff and beautiful food! The venison stew is out of this world!
We love to come to have brunch here. It's calm, but not dead, service is excellent and the breakfast is delicious. You can choose from a different array of options. I always take the Italian cheeses and avocado. Mmmmmh :-)
Ate here for dinner and was very pleased with the whole experience. Service was quick, professional and friendly. We never felt rushed. The food was overall very good (not the best I ever had, but very good none the less). Portion sizes are modest, which...is what it should be (rather than enormous portions that leave one unable to walk afterwards). Laid back atmosphere, which is what I prefer to the quiet, candlelit, romantic restaurants. Recommend a visit.More

This is a very special place that can be visited any time of the day. It provides the special atmosphere of a traditional meeting place for artists, intellectuals, students, visitors, etc. The food is always of very good quality and served in a friendly and...welcoming manner. There is also a large collection of German and internationale newspapers available – a very nice treat not only at breakfast (which may actually be taken around lunch time if you like). The Café Savigny is always a good place to visit alone, as a couple or with friends and colleagues. You will always find a nice atmosphere plus something good to eat and drink. It can become a habit to go there, and you will probably feel almost at home after a while.More
