Had a lovely evening here recently with old & new friends. Good neighbourhood pub/restaurant in a nice area with excellent food and friendly staff.

I came across this place by accident as I walked around an area near Charlottenburg Sbahn station. Its located in a secluded corner just about 400 meters westwards from the station and has a sheltering bank of trees in front. There were 7 draft beers available and the lunch on offer was distinctly on the Italian side. A creamy Chicken... More

Lentz is situated on the corner of Suttgater Platz and for me, what makes it stand out from the other cafes/bars in the surrounding area is the great selection of beers on offer and the friendly smilely staff. I used Lentz on a daily basis during a recent stay in Berlin and look forward to returning on my next visit.

I've never in Berlin been asked to pay extra for milk for my tea. And then extra for butter and jam for my croissant. It's not nice to be nickel and dimed without expecting it until the bill arrives. Nor to be told by the wait staff, when I complained, that "clients were asking for two much milk" !!! Nor... More

Go there if you like friendly service for a sophisticated older bohemian crowd. The beer, coffee and food are all great - however it has a really lovely vibe for those that like to chew the intellectual fat.

I've been living in Berlin for the past three years and cannot recommend this place highly enough. It is the simplicity that makes this place worth visiting time and time again- homemade food, warm welcome and a local atmosphere. Rather than giving this place further plaudits (which are deserved) I will give some advice, choose food from the specials, if... More

We spent almost two hours at Le.n.t.z. this morning and enjoyed every second. The ambience, food and staff were equally superbe. A real place to chill and unwind.

Food-wise this is 3 stars but regarding being a really nice place to hang out, it's 4 stars. I met a friend here and we both had a pasta salad and some beers. I still can't get over how cheap some places are in Berlin and the fact that you can get a large plate of decent food for so... More

One of my favourite places in Charlottenburg - great place to take friends. The food is very good, freshly cooked and tasty. Good cafe for the afternoons, great place to sit outside in summer. Service generally very friendly. Can be very busy at certain times.

Went here several times and for a cafe' restaurant the food was quite good. Nice service and great ambiance. Of course in the summer seating outside makes the difference. you take the s-bahn if you are in the center and it's worth the trip. Walk around the neighborhood after the meal, the shops are lovely and the street covered by... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
