One of my Berlin favourites. Creative and delicious sushi in a nicely designed place - during the summer also with a nice terrace.

I had diner with friends in Kuchi. The sushi was very good there. I can taste that they were fresh. The service was good, too. The only part I don't like is that people have to wait outside if you are there before 6pm. Not a good idea in winter.

This is a great find. Amazing soft shell Crab rolls and noodle soups. It is busy so you probably will queue but worth it as turnover is quick and service good. Probably not a place to risk a big party unless you have booked.

When the concierge of the Ritz-Carlton proposed Kuchi, we had no idea of what to expect. The restaurant is just amazing. The quality of the food is unbelievable. One of the best Sushi Restaurants I have ever visited... On top of that, the prices are surprisingly low...

We enjoyed a Volcano sushi roll as an appetizer and both ordered the Crispy Duck Soup for our main courses. The food was decent. Not amazing but good enough. Knowing that the soup would be salty, I asked for Leitungswasser and the lady flat-out said NO, or that they must charge 50 cents to each person for a glass. Entschuldigung?... More

A place worth visiting. Attentive staff and really good Asian dishes. We tried several dishes and all taste really good, the salmon is better and tastier than the tuna (which was a surprise) but in all it's worth a visit .

We asked our concierge where to go for sushi and she suggested Kuchi, nearby. We were surprised by the excellent menu, quality of the food and the reasonable prizes! I've had very expensive posh (disappointing) Japanese dinners all over the world but this one was superb! Go there if you can,,

We have been here a couple of times before but this time to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant has a wonderful outdoor terrace in the backyard where one could sit the whole night and enjoy the fantastic sushi (and other Japanese dishes) they serve. I like the interior as well with the vaulted cellar and cosy atmosphere. If the staff... More

I ate there a few days ago, didn't expect anything special, just some decent sushi. I have to say that the quality was more than decent and for the price I paied I gotta declare myself more than satisfied.

Thank Adrian B

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
