This place are a typical bierstube. Friendly staf and a good selection of diffrent dishes to choose among. Rustic atmosphere and in my opinion cosy. Ok price level Well conducted cooking without the final touch. Weak beer list and a very moderat winelist. We had a good evening. Service 4 Atmosphere 4.5 Winelist 2.5 Price 4 Food 4 Can only... Very close to Ku'damm elegant street you can find this lovely place with very nice and warm personnel able to speak Italian too. German dishes well prepared and friendly atmosphere. 4 tables were occupied by Italians who basically know where to eat without crazy prices (less than 30€ per 1 large beer,1 special main, 1 dessert). No easy parking in... More

Ate here on Friday 19th May with my girlfriend and another couple. We didn't pre book a table but got very lucky with a space so I would most certainly recommend pre booking a table! The meal we had here was absolutely fantactic! The starter I had was Deer and was gorgeous I can't remember what the other couples had... More

The restaurant was close to our hotel and we wanted to eat German food. The restaurant was busy but they found us a table. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. We had a bottle of the house white wine, smoked eel to start and mains of pork knuckle and asparagus with smoked and boiled ham. Portions are very generous.... More

Took advice from TripAdvisor and tried this out. Got last table without a booking. Beer great. Beetroot soup to die for. Very tasty. Presentation good. For mains I had Berlin style liver. Very tasty. Nice piece of liver cooked well. Wild boar and stag stew went down well. Portions huge! Husband didn't like potato dumpling but that's down to personal... More

We found the place thanks to TripAdvisor and we confirm the good reviews! The beetroot soup is definitely a must eat, my wife went for the marinated perch fish and then the mushrooms cream, I had the goat veil as main dish, and everything was delicious. The restaurant is a small family business, the staff is friendly and so nice.... More

Each time we've been to Berlin, we have dinner at least once at Marjellchen. The menu has a range of traditional German dishes served in large portions by the friendly staff and its always a pleasure to return. The restaurant is easy to get to by public transport and is only a short walk from the Savigny s-bahn station. It... More

Best meal we had in Berlin, thanks to Rick Steves recommendation. Definitely make reservations since it's a small restaurant. Started with a flavorful mushroom soup and then had the Masurian jugged game (stag and boar with bacon and mushrooms, potato dumplings, cabbage and cranberries). Perfect food for autumn season.

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
