Excellent food, great service!! Truly authentic feeling. We ate a three course meal, had a bottle of wine. Price level was reasonable.

The 10% tips requested as if it was an obligation (with the waiter coming and asking why we're not paying that amount and, of course, requesting it to be paid in cash) is not what we were expecting to finish the evening. Even if the...More

Amazing food, we felt the Italian vibe. Polite service and they know what they serve. Spacious room, a lot of tables. Great white wine.

Food and service were great! We were there on the early side (6:45PM) and asked for a quiet spot so the two of us could easily converse and got led to a corner in the front room. Our zucchini flower stuffed with ricotta and with...More

Had dinner in Sale e Tabacchi, just around the corner from Checkpoint Charlie. Nice dishes, fresh ingredients. Beautiful high ceiling and stylish decoration. Somewhat expensive, quality good but not stunning, yet worth the visit.

Went with a group, one of whom chose the place, so I hadn't seen any reviews. From it's rather unimpressive entrance, everything just got better! Service was prompt and friendly, despite not having fluent German or Italian speakers in the party. My food, baby calamari...More

A family group of 7 we ate here the night before the Berlin marathon. A lovely buzzing vibrant venue, great waiters with faultless English. I had very possibly the best calamari I've ever had and everyone enjoyed their meals.

We came to dinner for a few friends, ordered a few tasty appetizers, but the main dishes were winning, the ravioli was really tasty, and the fillet portion was precise and juicy and delicious. Tramisu for dessert is recommended.

The place does not look great from the outside. I initially waked passed it. However after reading the reviews decided to drop in. Was easily to get a place on a Saturday evening at 8.30pm. The service was good. We had a couple of mains...More

Friendly, courteous welcome from the waiter. This is a very popular spot so advisable to book ahead. The food is superb as is the service, a little bit pricey compared to other comparable quality Italian restaurants we've visited but a must try if you're in...More

Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can
both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central
neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the
1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around
Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s,
rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a
carefree life here. An old hospital even became a
hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today
