Nice ambiance, good service, nice twist on traditional dishes like the currywurst that is served with sweet potato chips. The soup as a starter was excellent very fresh and beautifully presented. Excellent place to meet

We are tourists and on our first trip to Berlin. This restaurant was recommended to us by the staff at the Steigenberger Hotel near the Berlin Hbf. It was a short walk to the restaurant on a very cold Tuesday night. We were the first patrons since we arrived at 5:45 PM. The took us upstairs to one of the... More

Excellent food (had lamb carré & beef fillet as they should be!), good wine recommendation by friendly waiter, cosy place with a history, great contrast to aseptic govt. architecture around!

Food and wine was excellent. Service was good.but it did take a little while for food to be served but still was a positive experience. Restaurant is in an historical building which added to the character of the place..

The menue we took consisted of three dishes and it was consistently great quality, flavors and arrangements throughout all dishes. I had the best dessert here I've ever tasted - a citron tarte (I often still fantasize about this one :D). On top, we were guided through the evening by a great and professional staff which seemed passionate about their... More

Excellent cuisine, fine wine and first class and friendly service. My wife and I chose the 6-course surprise Menu. The menu is in German and English (with one or two spelling errors in the latter language). After starting with freshly-baked bread, accompanied by truffled butter and herb salt, we had 6 excellent courses (see photos). As white wine drinkers we... More

Restaurant right next to the German ministry for internal affairs. We went there as a group of three to celebrate a birthday. Next to us were some groups of 10 or so people obviously belonging to the ministry. Two groups actually arrived after us. All of them were served earlier than us. We had to wait for 90 minutes to... The first time we had the tasting menu, the second the ala-cart. This is Michelin star quality food at reasonable prices. The food is unbelievable and the service unbeatable. I just took their advice on the wines and was totally impressed. Just make sure I can get a table next time I am in Berlin- please!

Thank Ben P

"If Berlin is the door between the East and the West, then Paris-Moskau Restaurant is its welcoming reception room. Marrying the best of both sides of the former famous wall, Paris-Moskau’s cosy feel and seasonal menus have been winning fans since 1987. Though tucked into a charming period house built in 1898, inside gives way to crisp, modern cream walls accented with bold wooden furniture. The menu’s also thoroughly modern with an emphasis on seafood, tempting diners with favourites like tranche of char with caviar and tarragon cream, or a stew of Canadian lobster with Baumpilz. Don’t miss the garden in the summer, with fantastic view of the government quarter, Chancellor’s garden and Berlin skyline.

Staying in Moabit

Neighbourhood Profile
You may not realize Moabit is one of the city’s most central neighbourhoods when you arrive at Hauptbahnhof (central station). Surrounded by waterways, Moabit is a quiet island protected from the hustle and bustle of Berlin. The crowds that do gather prefer spending their evenings in cozy restaurants over the party venues offered by other districts. With its beautiful parks, old housing and romantic industrial areas, life has traditionally been relaxed and a bit slower here. But the tone may soon be changing. Reasonable housing costs and proximity to city centre are attracting more young Berliners and international visitors. This interest is encouraging new bars, cafés and nightclubs, making Moabit a candidate for most up-and-coming neighbourhood in the city.
