The food for the price was really really amazing. And none of us could even finish the plate. Would have been 6 stars but the waiters were a bit rude.

My daughter and I had a lovely meal here and, as usual when visiting an Indian restaurant, over ordered. We had the onion bhaji strips to start and they real are just strips of onion and not the famous balls we've come to know and love. Our main was a lamb bhuna and chicken korma which was more like butter... More

Had made a booking to celebrate Valentine's day. The lovely lady over the phone guaranteed a nice romantic atmosphere with a rose on the table and/or a rose for each celebrating couple. Well... Things were not as expected. Crowded and noisy place, no table was reserved for us and we were last-minute allocated a table by the entrance where cold... More

My wife and I make a concerted effort to eat at least one Indian restaurant wherever we travel: Japan, Thailand, Czech Republic, Denmark... we have eaten curries all over the world and therefore set high standards. Amrit did not disappoint! Firstly, the decor inside was fun - Buddha statues, Indian fabrics on the ceilings, a water fountain... your eyes get... More

You come to Germany, you want to try something German I guess. But you know who is wearing the trousers at home and a Happy Wife, Happy Life! So, trust her and follow her to this Indian place. Bah, Indian in Germany. But OK, let's do it. This has been one of the best meal I have ever had! No... More

We went for the €5.50 lunch deal which includes rice, curry, naan and salad (you get so much food for the price, really great deal) and it was all super yummy. Nice veggie options and lovely friendly staff.

We decided to go after checking it out on Trip Advisor and were not disappointed. Food was amazing, service was quick, we didn't feel rushed and the fact there was a masseur offering guests a quick massage topped the evening off too. Thank you all!

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
