I've actually never been to a fondue place, so I was really excited to try Nola's. The ambiance is very ski-lodge esque and quite warm and inviting. I went with 1 friend and we wanted to try the Classic Fondue. Our waiter (who was tentative to our needs when he came by but the service overall was REALLY slow) suggested... More

everytime I have come here the service has been inexistent. 37 minutes waiting for 1 coffee... never came. gave feedback to the manager, she just shrugged, didn't care. not even an apology. terrible attitude to service, which extends across the staff.

Lunch was better (maybe because of sunny terrace) but fondue was small disappointment. People were eating big salads so it could be also your choice.

It's a pleasant place, where you can try tasty food and enjoy views over the park. Delicious fondue, friendly atmosphere and sympathetic staff! Try it yourself and you'll definitely enjoy time in this restaurant! (Exceptional thanks to the russian staff)

We ate on the terrace which was lovely and probably the best part about the meal. Service was slower than most and the food was average. I think our original server left for the day after taking our order because we waited forever for our meals. Other tables came and went and still we sat. Luckily, it was a beautiful... More

Lovely location in a park in the middle of Berlin.Huge terrace and try to sit outside when weather allows. Inside nicely decorated and it reminded me of my ski holidays in Switzerland. The service is very friendly could be sometimes more attentive (wine arrived after the starter) but the menu is great. It's written in Schwyzer Dütsch - Swiss German... More

Great all you can eat buffet that even tastes awesome. Location cannot be argued to be awesome in summers with this big terrace in the middle of the park.

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
