We read about this beforehand and it sounded great so headed off Saturday morning, through a street market and were seated almost straightaway (although there was a queue when we left). We had the classic breakfast on a 3-tiered cake stand and although not that cheap it lasted us pretty much the whole day. Very much recommended

Unfortunately, very disappointing brunch and actually the first time I have ever felt the need to make a rating. The price of 22 euros for a brunch to share for 2 is extremely overpriced for the value you get - I was very disappointed by the low quality of the food, the quantity (each item is only respresented once even... You may have to fight for a table, and you will end up knee to knee with your neighbours... but the food is good and the crowd is bubbly. We shared a breakfast platter of fruits, meats, cheeses and egg. Only complaint is that my cafe latte was a little too milky, so stick with the cappuccino! This is a... More

Came for a late lunch to this highly recommended cafe. We had some interesting crepes-- some with fruits and ice cream and some with a fish dish. The coffee was excellent, as was the nuss mascarpone. The waitresses were polite, knowledgeable, efficient and cheerful, and spoke English. Don't miss this gem of Berlin!

We had both breakfast (so I don't know about the cakes or crepes) and they weren't as good as we read in the descriptions we found online. Both consisted of 50% saladleaves and a bit of fruit. The vegetables were cold and without taste and seem to came from a can or something. The shrimps were AWFUL!! Surely they were... More

I went here for a late brunch with friends. First, this place was crowded, that was not the issue, they made us wait outside and let many other people in first to grab a seat. We were only three people.. After more than 30 minutes a waitress told as to come in and showed us a nearly empty room, just... More

We visited Anna Blume in October. We had crepes and a vegetarian potato bake. Both tasty but nothing too special. Big outside seating area which is probably amazing when it's warmer outside. Cool interior and amazing looking cakes!

We were there on a Sunday morning – arrived at 9.15 am and the cafe was full within the next 10-15 min. When we left, people were sitting outside even though it was late October. The place remains is in its original 50ies style which is great and authentic. Friendly English and German speaking staff. Food was fine and deliciously... More

We did have to wait 30 mins because we had no reservation and tables were a bit cramped but it was worth it. The three true breakfast for two was enough for four and each cake slice was enough for 2. Coffee and hot chocolate were 11/10.

Thank Michael H

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighbourhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
