It was really nice. I love the buffet. The ambience is good and a friendly environment. For people seeking South Indian You can try the uttapam. It was tasty as well.

With a warm ambience, and welcoming decor, this was a real find on a chilly Berlin night. The excellently cooked food is all vegetarian with a high percentage of vegan options. The starters were crisp and fresh and I don't believe I have eaten samosas like this before - baked not deep fried. Unusually, they had a selection of soups... More

We are always coming here for the dosas as they are the best in Berlin. It is always busy there and all the food we have tried so far is amazingly good.

Went looking for the restaurant as we were hungry and longing for Indian vegetarian food. After a wee bit of search, found this place - not too far from the Zoo Bahnof and k'damm. Its a neat little place. However, there was only one waiter covering at least 6-7 tables. so we had to wait our turn to get his... More

We ordered the soya korma and the vegetarian platter. Both were excellent and complimented by the sweet and mango lassi drinks. Decor could be improved and ambience would be better with some music, but I would be more than happy to eat at the Satyam again

Worth mentioning was their Dosa and Sambar which tasted really good. For Coconut Chutney I did not get the same taste as it was made not made up of fresh coconut... More

The most horrible South Indian food I have ever had. Medu Vada seemed like they were frozen and heated in a Micro Wave Oven before serving, Dosa consistency was like an Omelette, Sambhar was nowhere near the authentic taste, the chutney was a mere defrosted coconut and garnished with coriander, ordered Uttapam, was uncooked hence returned. When asked for the... More

We went to this place after an exhaustive search for a decent vegetarian Indian restaurant. When we entered there were two tables free and unreserved but the waiter told us to wait outside for 10 minutes. We waited for long and after seeing people from another table paying their bill and leaving we went in to ask again. The waiter... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
