Breakfast for two: 14,20€ A bit expensive, as we had two bagels, which were ok but not special and a hot beverage. The menu is not in English and the waitress couldn't speak any word of English so the choice was complicated... The place is pink, not really super cleaned, this is definitively not a place you want to sit... More

We stumbled upon this deli by pure chance. The coffee was excellent and the cakes looked amazing. We didn't eat the deli sandwiches but they looked amazing.

tucked away in a courtyard off the main street. this place offers great coffee and huge club sandwiches. it was our first place we ate after landing and it really served us well. nice outdoor setting but with large space indoors too.

My husband and I were in the neighborhood waiting for another store to open, so we went to Barcomi's to have some coffee. The coffee was too acidic for our taste. I can't say anything about the baked goods. The neighborhood; however, is great.

- awesome location, unfortunately a little bit hard to find - they are more into salads and cakes, I tasted only the salads and everything was OK: do not expect a rich menu, this is not a restaurant - I don't care much about the service if the waiters are not rude (they had a german attitude, but I don't... The coffee & (cherry) cheesecake at Barcomis today was great but whatever you do, do not expect service with a smile!! We watched a group of 20 or so visitors be treated with absolute disdain & as an absolute inconvenience. If you can afford to turn down some many customers then you are lucky!!

Really enjoyed our breakfast here. Would definitely return if we visit Berlin again. Conveniently located for the tempelhof park. Had to try a slice of the cake which was amazing!

This place sits in such an adorable courtyard! We went for breakfast, was somewhat more of an 'American style' menu. The cakes also get a great reputation!

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighbourhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
