On our last day in Berlin we decided to grab a quick bite at Cafe Einstein: the environment is really cozy, our waiter was extremely nice and I personally really enjoyed the viennese-style fried chicken I had. Of course its position is a big plus, considering is located in Unter Den Linden. I'd like to try if for breakfast once!

Enjoyed a long brunch here on New Year's Day. The big brunch for two was made up of quality delights and a slice of the apple strudel topped things off perfectly! Great for people watching too.

Stumbled upon this cafe/restaurant when heading to brandenburg gate, and were so pleased that we decided to pop in. Feels like a posh cafe or restaurant (bar style), with great service and amazing food- it was the best place we ate in berlin! Well worth the money.

Very very expensive, bad staff. The breakfast is good but not enough to pay all you have in your pocket. There is no internet.

We visited the under dan linden place after a great adventure of the apple strudel at the kurf. Branch. Bread came in many ways - all perfect; Eggs Benedict, with the salmon version, was no less than perfect. Cheeses are great, and the coffee is good too. Service is great!!

This place is very close to the Brandenburg Gate. I had an amazing iced cappuccino and shared a chocolate cake which was delicious. Service was excellent here. The cafe was extremely busy and had a great atmosphere

I came here for lunch on our last day before leaving. The food was tasty. We just had a toasted sandwich and shared some chips. Was really quick and simple but tasted so good and the service was prompt and efficient.

We recently visited Berlin and enjoyed Cafe Einstein in Unter Den Linden on two occasions. This is a nice cafe with a local feel, a place we'd happily stop by if we had something similar back home. During a breakfast at Cafe Einstein, we had basic bacon & egg as well as a salmon & egg orders. Both dishes made... More

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
