I can't say I've been on many ships from the 50s that were renovated to look like a ship from the 1700s and used as a museum in Wales, and then converted to a pancake restaurant in Germany. But if I had... This would probably still be the best!

We came for a family lunch with two little boys. The restaurant is inside the hull of an old wooden ship and accessed via a gangway from the shore. Our boys loved the fact that they were given a pirate's eye patch with their meal. The portions are very generous and the pancakes were all delicious. We tried savoury and... More

While the view from deck was nice, the sweet pancakes that we ordered (one blueberry and one apple) were so dry and tough as to be inedible. A big disappointment for an eatery named the Pancake Ship.

Quaint ship on the river in Bremen The menu are the name Pancake ship suggests is mainly pancakes. They come served like Pizza with sweet or savoury toppings. The servings of either kind are very filling so I would suggest unless you have a huge appetite don't expect to have room for a pudding after a savoury. The staff worked... More

We have eaten at the Pannekoekschip several times. On a beautiful day, it is great to be sitting on the deck of what looks like a pirate ship, eating "pancakes", drinking beer, and watching the river float by. The food is really just average but as a whole package, it is definitely worth doing. Our favorite "pancake" had salami, bacon,... More

Fancy finding an old sailing ship in Bremen called the Admiral Nelson. And it's a floating restaurant and specialises in pancakes. A great break in all the Bremen sightseeing. We were on the top open deck, in the shade because of the hot sunshine. Great fun, not exactly haute cuisine but a great adventure.

The location of this ship could not be better, right in the heart of beautiful old Brenen at the Schlachte waterfront. For kids this is a great place to be. They discover old style ships and they have much fun on board. Food is also good and staff is pleasant, so do go there when visiting Brenen,
